Wood Species:
Awe--- The look of wood, but which one do I want?
Oak - Typically the base price in wood species. Oak is hard and durable. However, Oak has a very busy grain, unlike the subtle grain of Maple.
Hickory - Similar to Oak but somewhat less grain. Hickory can be more contrast in lighter stains.
Maple - A good cabinet choice for durability and eye appeal. Stains well and looks great when painted and glazed.
Cherry - A beautiful grain and texture. Commonly used in fine furniture. Typically stained dark but can be natural. Cherry is the most photo sensitive and darkens with age, especially in direct sunlight.
Pine - Is a very soft wood that requires more care. Often shows wear around knobs and handles due to fingernails. Pine also will have more knots showing in the wood grain than other species.
Birch - Is a good solid wood. Painting or light stain works best on this species. Dark stains tend to look muddy due to the way Birch absorbs the stain.

Testimonials"I was kept up to date with the project and Kitchens & Baths were very flexible to change or add when I had other ideas. The end result is fantastic! More than I imagined!"
